The Michigan Gift Mart hosts a monthly event for purchasing agents to buy directly from wholesalers and manufacturers. Attendees must pre-register and prove they are legitimate representatives for licensed retailers.
With thousands of attendees at each show, the tracking and validation of these purchasers can be an enormous task. Michigan Gift Mart needed simple ways of validating visitor registrations throughout the month. They also needed a way for the show staff to quickly and easily print attendee badges as the visitors arrived at the show. Their old application had completely failed them -- there was no way to print badges to their specialized printers, and they were unable to modify the program to support new requirements. The next show was in three weeks.
Conquent was able to deliver a system that was a long-term solution, which used existing data and integrated the old printers. Not only does it allow them to manage visitor registrations, but they can review visitor reports, manage their vendors, and synchronize the database with their online list of vendors.
Bottom line: Conquent beat the deadline, for less money than inflexible commercial programs, and saved the show.
