Oregon has become a destination for wine connoisseurs across the country and around the world. But the tour business is in its infancy. Creating a presence to let our client stand out from the crowd, but remain sophisticated and understated was the challenge.
At the same time, our client is a one-man shop, with little to spend, so we kept the project simple, easy to update, and cost effective.
We decided the best approach would be to show a bit of the Yamhill County countryside to give a taste of what you'll see when you go to Oregon. Our design team balanced this with a wine-theme from a pseudo wine label, to use of corks, glasses, and other elements that immediately say "wine."
It's the subtle integration of graphics and text that adds a professionalism found too rarely on the web. The landscape is reminiscent of Yamhill County, Oregon, but they don't really exist -- creating the landscape in the computer gets us the perfect image to work with the client's goal.
